Mattress FAQs

1. Are your products always in stock?

We always keep an ample stock of King and Queen size mattresses in stock in our warehouse in South Florida. Fulls and Twins are normally in stock in smaller quantities. California king sizes can be special ordered from the factory and are not kept in stock. Please call for status of inventory and lead times. Once an order is placed and the item is in stock, it will be shipped within 48 hours from our warehouse.

2. Are your sizes standard?

We have manufactured our mattresses to standard US sizes (King, Queen, Full, Twin).
King 79x81x13
Queen 61x81x13
Full 55x76x13
Twin 40x76x13

3. Does your mattress work with a box spring and does it require one?

Most bed manufacturers today are making beds that no longer require box springs (storage beds or slated beds).  Box springs normally offer very little support in the middle and this may hinder the experience and minimize the benefit when using a latex or memory foam mattress.  Since our mattresses are considered to be some of the tallest mattresses in the market, the box spring offers no benefit.  If a client still feels they would like to use a box spring, they can use their current box spring but we recommend they place a board or wooden plank on top of the whole box spring to level the pressure points.

4. What is the Oeko-Tex certification?

The OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 is an independent testing and certification system for textile raw materials, intermediate and end products at all stages of production. Examples for items eligible for certification: Raw and dyed/finished yarns, raw and dyed/finished fabrics and knits, ready-made articles (all types of clothing, domestic and household textiles, bed linen, terry cloth items, textile toys, furniture and more).

Testing for harmful substances includes:

  • illegal substances
  • legally regulated substances
  • known harmful (but not legally regulated) chemicals
  • as well as parameters for health care

In their entirety the requirements clearly exceed existing national legislation.

Laboratory tests and product classes

OEKO-TEX® testing for harmful substances always focus on the actual use of the textile. The more intensive the skin contact of a product, the stricter the human ecological requirements to be met.

Accordingly there are four product classes:

Product class I:
Textile items for babies and toddlers up to 3 years (clothing, toys, bed linen, terry cloth items etc.)

Product class II:
Textiles used close to the skin (underwear, bed linen, T-shirts etc.)

Product class III:
Textiles used away from the skin (jackets, coats etc.)

Product class IV:
Furnishing materials (curtains, table cloths, upholstery materials etc.)

All of our materials are 100% Oeko-Tex certified Product class l

The requirement for certification of textile products according to OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 is that all components of an item have to comply with the required criteria without exception – that means in addition to the outer material also sewing threads, linings, prints etc. as well as non-textile accessories such as buttons, zip fasteners, rivets etc.

Best Rest chose to abide by the Oeko-Tex certifications since they were the most stringent of all of the earth-friendly certifications and they were considered the gold standard globally.

5. Is assembly required with the mattress and do all models come with a winter and summer side?

Every model comes with a winter side and a summer side already incorporated into the design. The top section of the mattress which contains the toppers has a side that uses cashmere and organic cotton and that is the Winter side and the other side uses a technology we designed call 3D Thermofress and that is the Summer side. The factory always ships the Winter side on top. The only assembly that someone may need to do is the unzipping, flipping and rezipping of the topper section if they prefer to sleep over the cooler side.

6. What type of delivery options do you offer?

We use several reputable transportation companies for our delivery options depending on the area of the US. The white glove service which is available in most areas includes the removal of the old mattress and the set up of the new mattress (excluding the winter / summer change). This service comes with a surcharge. The regular delivery includes the bringing of the mattress into the threshold of the home but there is no set up or unpacking included.

7. What type of guarantee do you offer?

We take great pride in our product and the European standards of quality are quite stringent. That’s why we go the extra mile… We offer a ten year manufacturer’s warranty. Our factory uses only the highest quality materials including the latest generation visco soy elastic memory foam produced in Portugal, innovative 3D Thermofress fabrics keeping our mattresses cool and Cashmere/Organic Cotton top to give extra comfort. Please check warranty section for details.

Storage Bed FAQs

1. Can I use my mattress or the headboard with our line of storage beds?

Definitely!  Our headboards have standardized sizes and can be used with any headboard and any mattress.  Even more so, our storage beds are designed to give your mattress more of the vital support it needs for your comfort and it will even add years to your mattresses life.

Please keep in mind the height of the mattress + the height of the frame = the total height of the bed.

2. Is my product always in stock?

Our Storage Beds for the most part are made to order since it is very important to us to personalize the Storage unit to your needs. From the moment you order it takes between 6 to 10 weeks to be delivered to your home taking into account normal travel times. For this reason we ask for a75% deposit once you place the order so we can start the production of the piece.  This can be paid by check or credit card through our customer service agents or we can pass you the instructions via email.

3. How exactly does a storage bed work?

We incorporate in our Storage beds a very simple mechanism made of German hydraulic pistons that lift the bed with little effort even with a mattress on top.  These are made with a steel frame allowing you to open and close the lid with ease and comfort.  This is the same technology that is used in the automotive industry for the trunk doors in cars like Volkswagen and Audi.

4. Is there assembly required for the storage beds?

Yes, but it is very simple.  We will send you all of the parts with an instruction sheet and if you have any questions or concerns you can contact our costumer care representatives to assist you.
